Why Blog?

Why not?  I am an artist and the act of creation is a daily ritual for me.  Right now I am exploring macro photography with rigor.  I use a Nikon D300 camera and am currently obsessed with using my 60mm f2.8 lens for highly detailed macro work with a nice bokeh effect in the background.

Trained originally as a painter I have, over time, explored many different media including printmaking, collage and encaustic wax.  I want to use this space to post some of the photos I have been taking as of late.  I hope you can find joy and inspiration in them.
